Have we been focusing our ministries on works rather than faith? Have we forgotten what it meant to walk by faith and not by sight? This new year, let us re-evaluate our faith and realign our lives with the Giver of Life.
Most people do not know what they’ve signed up for when they’ve answered the call to “go, make disciples of all nations”. I believe it is essential for us to be culturally aware of the society we live in before we plunge into deep waters for the Lord. We need to know who our neighbours are. We also need to be assured of our salvation.
We who are baptised into Christ’s death have the ability to serve in the new way of the Spirit — a way of service that transcends liturgical obligation and into true worship.
Ministries fail because we do not hold on to God. Life become meaningless when we lose sight of God. Will we hold on to what’s most important?
There’s no difference between secular charities and christian Charities. We should also not use charity as a tool for evangelism. Let our conscience be clear and serve with the passion of serving without ulterior motive.
When God judges personally, the fear of the Lord will grip everyone who heard it.
