He loved to curse; let curses come upon him! He did not delight in blessing; may it be far from him! He clothed himself with cursing as his coat; may it soak into his body like water, like oil into his bones! — Psalm 109:17-18
I think we as Christians should always examine ourselves;
The words that we speak and the thoughts that we think.
Christ listens to our prayers; Christ too knows our thoughts.
Let no negativity be found on our lips; cleanse our hearts from all pessimism.
Do not say things like, “I’m gonna die”, or, “I’ll never be able to succeed”, or, “I will not recover from this illness.”
The slightest connotation of negativism will plant the seed of fear and faithlessness towards God’s sovereignty in our hearts.
Instead, rest in the Lord and His faithfulness for He will provide for us all that we need so as to do what He has called us to do. He will not give us more than what we can bear.
Do not curse yourself with negative thoughts for Satan will fulfil those curses that surface in our minds. Rather, bless one another with a loving heart, trusting that God will do all that He said He would.
Only when we rest fully upon the Lord will we be able to see His goodness at work within us. Only with a clean heart and a clean mind will we see God’s glorious work manifested within us.
Are you accidentally cursing yourself with phrases and idioms the society taught you? Repent and put on the armour of Truth; let the Holy Spirit cleanse your tongue and lead you along life’s treacherous path towards the victorious prize for which God has called you heavenwards in Jesus Christ.
Curse no more. God is preparing to do great things through the work of your hands.
